Oban to Craignure Ferry (Summer)

Caledonian MacBrayne (Calmac) run a ferry from Oban to Craignure (Mull) which takes about 45 minutes each way. The ferry runs seven days a week, with up to six sailings a day in summer, but less often in winter.

Booking for your car is advisable at all times, and essential in the peak season. You need to check in at Oban pier 30 minutes before sailing time.
Distances on Mull

There is no booking for pedestrians and tickets can be bought on arrival at the pier. Pedestrians must board ten minutes before sailing time.

Fares

Single, return and 'Saver' fares are available.
Five day Saver return fares are:
Cars: £54.00 Passenger (inc driver): £7.55;

Saver tickets are not valid for some sailings, particularly Saturdays and 0950 mid-week in high summer. Check with Calmac for further details.

Other Car Ferries to and from Mull

There are also Calmac car ferries from Lochaline (Morvern) to Fishnish (Mull), and Kilchoan (Ardnamurchan) to Tobermory (Mull). For Iona you take the ferry from Fionnphort (Mull). Check with Caledonian MacBrayne for bookings and fare options.

Bus connections to Fionnphort

On week-days the bus meets the ferry services departing Oban at 0745 (Mondays 0700), 1155 and 1600hrs.

On Saturdays the bus meets the 0730, 1145, and 1600hrs sailings, but on Sundays only the 1600.

Note that there is NO bus to meet the 0950, 1400 (Sat 1345) or 1800hrs sailings from Oban !
